Today I want to share something I’m really excited about: I have officially received the Oracle ACE Associate recognition. 🎉

But beyond the badge or the title, I want to tell you what went on behind the scenes. Because let’s be honest, everything looks perfect on LinkedIn, but reality has more nuance.

It all started back in June 2024. I decided to start writing posts with a clear goal: to reveal the "hidden" possibilities of JD Edwards and the Orchestrator. I realized no one was talking about this—at least not in Spanish—and I felt there was a huge gap to fill. At first, the response was... shy. Few reactions, almost no comments.

It’s easy to get discouraged there. But I kept a quote by Euge Oller in my head that became my mantra: "Imagine putting all those people who react in a room together. Suddenly, they don't seem like 'a few' anymore. Plus, you only need one of them to give you that opportunity you're looking for."

And boy, was he right.

That consistency, even if it seemed invisible at first, created a snowball effect. Thanks to getting started, I changed jobs, participated in webinars with Oracle experts, and innovated by merging AI with JDE to create "Qbot 4JDE." I even ended up being invited as a Speaker at international events like INFOCUS and UKOUG. And now, this.

Obviously, you don't achieve this just by writing LinkedIn posts. You have to move, be in the right places (virtual or physical), and work hard. But I’m telling you this so you can see that it is possible. You don't need millions of followers; you just need to start and persevere.

Now, you might be wondering: "Mario, how do these Oracle ACE levels actually work?". I’ve looked into it to explain it simply, without the corporate jargon:

The program doesn't just validate what you know, but what you do with that knowledge to help others. It’s a meritocratic ladder:

  • If you are just starting: There is the Oracle ACE Apprentice level. It’s like a talent incubator. It’s designed for enthusiasts who have the knowledge but lack the platform or public experience. The focus here is training you on personal branding and soft skills so you learn how to share effectively.

  • If you are already consistent: The Oracle ACE Associate level (where I am now) validates that you have moved from a consumer to an active producer. They generally look for a track record of consistent contribution over 12 to 18 months 16, answering forums, writing tutorials, or participating in local events. The key here isn't a stroke of luck; it is consistency.

I will continue on this path with the confidence that more good things are coming, and my mission remains the same: to help you master JDE and Orchestrator without dying trying.
