Yesterday I told you about the €100 hold in JDE. Here is the tragic comedy of the solution.
The Division Head—the only person who could release the hold—was on sick leave. The sales rep was running around the office like a headless chicken. He escalated it. Up. And up.
Eventually, we got the CEO's approval. Not to change the policy, but to let me, the IT guy, reset the Division Head's JDE password so someone else could log in as him and click "Approve."
It took 4 hours, 5 high-level salaries, and a security breach to approve a standard order. This isn't just "annoying." It’s financial suicide via overhead.
If you’ve ever had to "hack" JDE to get work done, share this. Or reply and tell me your story.
