Yesterday I told you about the Purchasing Manager who lowered prices. Today I tell you about the hell that followed.

We had 5,000 items to update in the P4105.

It wasn't difficult work. It was mechanical work. And that makes it dangerous.

We had a team of people updating product by product. Open. Update. Close. Repeat. 5,000 times.

Meanwhile, the factory didn't stop. Every production order launched during those days carried the wrong cost. The accounting reality was out of sync with the commercial reality.

It took days. Days of "sacrificing margins" simply because we couldn't ingest data fast enough.

If you've ever felt the pain of manual entry, share this. If you have a scar from the P4105, reply.
